Handicapper Tracker Website Update II

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

After consuming many hours, and even more coffee, we’ve made great strides in the Handicapper Tracker Sports Monitor Website this week. We are close to finishing our Handicapping Articles section, and will be concentrating mostly on cosmetic changes this week.

A vast majority of the back pages are now search engine optimized, and our Handicapper Tracker Forum should be up and running at full capacity within 24 hours. Our Official Lines Page, which will contain live odds from our sponsoring sportsbook, BetPhoenix.com, will be completed this week.

We’re still testing our grading software, but are proud to still be on schedule. Registration should be open within a few weeks, well ahead of time for the beginning of the NFL Preseason.

You can look forward to a number of new sports handicapping articles this week in addition to a whole new look to the website over the coming days.

US Soccer Interest on the Rise

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

After the United State national team came up with two improbable win lasts week, interest in the sport has increased dramatically. First, the US beat Egypt 3-0, and coupled with Brazil’s 3-0 victory over Italy the same day, Uncle Sam earned an invite to the tournament’s Final Four. The on Wednesday, the United States pulled one of the biggest upsets of recent memory when they ended Spain’s 35-game unbeaten streak in a 2-0 win.

So, now the US finds itself in the Confederation Cup Final in a rematch against Brazil. And what does this mean for sports handicappers? It means that there is now a larger fan base of a sport who may be winning to wager on the match without much knowledge about the sport; a perfect storm for selling some soccer picks!

One of the biggest advantages for handicappers joining our sports handicapper monitor is that fact that we will monitor every sport and game that our sponsoring sportsbook, BetPhoenix.com, offers. As of Saturday afternoon, BetPhoenix lists the United States as a +725 underdog to win the match within regulation, and a +350 underdog for the US to come away with the cup in any way, shape or form. Conversely, Brazil is a -260 favorite to win in regulation, and a 5:1 favorite to win in any fashion.

Sports Handicappers Eagerly Awaiting Start of New Football Season

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

With the beginning of July in sight, it’s time to start thinking about football season again. Most NFL teams will have started training camp by the end of July (Buffalo opens first on July 25th), but it’s never too early to begin breaking down the teams for the upcoming season.

Obviously, football season is king when it comes to sports handicappers. Especially the NFL Preseason, where recreational sports bettors are nervous to pull the trigger under the unique conditions. But this season is a bit different; with the struggling economy directly affecting sports handicappers’ sales, it’s more important than ever for professional sports handicappers to have their records documented by an independent third party.

Gone are the days when handicappers could boast of incredible winning streaks and records, now that potential customers can spend five minutes on the internet to verify those claims. And, the ones who can prove their winning records are reaping the benefits.

HandicapperTracker.com will open registration soon for both professional handicappers and amateur sports handicappers alike within the next few weeks. By helping legitimate handicappers prove their well-earned records and exposing them to new potential clients who have been burned in the past, it makes perfect sense to join prior to the start of the new season.

Handicapper Tracker Website Update

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Slowly but surely, the Handicapper Tracker Sports Monitor website is nearing completion. We’ve started to build the back pages, and the handicapper record-tracking software is almost finished. Soon we’ll add the lines feed from BetPhoenix.com, which will be our official grading lines.

Setting up the blog and forum should be done within the next week, and after that there will be a series of software tests to make sure everything is being graded and reported correctly. We are well within our timetable of being up and running by the beginning of the NFL Preseason.

Hopefully, registration will be open within a few weeks, and we can get started on building the individual handicapper pages, which will contain not only records, but sports handicapper bios as well as their promos for the picks that are selling for that particular day.

Well, back to work, but we expect multiple updates every day from here on out, and our final cosmetic changes to be made in the next few weeks.

Until next time! - Bob
